Weekend Plans

Another weekend finally here! Hooray!

Started early for me with the October Sun PR launch at kettners in Soho last night. Lovely place and free champagne so altogether good night. I went along with my friend Emily, a journalist for a design magazine and we had a thoroughly good time on the free drinks!

Tomorrow I am going to Cardiff to meet up with some friends and seeing Footloose at the Millennium Centre. I am sure we will be indulging in some drinking afterwards, around the old haunts from the Uni Days. Cardiff is a great city and I thoroughly recommend it for a night out and shopping. The new St Davids Shopping Centre is brilliant and the John Lewis there is worth a visit alone.

To drink  10 Feet Tall just off St Mary's street and  Buffalo bar off Queens Street are two of my favourite places to go. Really good music, really good cocktails and a great atmosphere!! I will probably avoid the club chains like Oceana and Vodka Revolution as they are a bit "TOWIE" for my liking, especially on the weekend!

I am sure whatever we do will be fun though!!

You are what you EAT!!!!!

I have been trying to keep track of what I have been eating. Not really to loose weight, but want to make sure I'm getting enough good stuff, vitamins and all that jazz because I am pretty sure at the moment I am not!!

After excessive weekend and the very enjoyable, but indulgent string of bank holidays I thought it was time to do something about it.

My Fitness Pall ets you log what you have eaten that day, as well as excercise and gives you an estimate of the calorie and nutritional content in it. Aswell as that, you can set yourself goals and track your progress.

You can even add other users and comment on their wall (bit FBKish).

I've been using it for a week and the shame of entering chocolate biscuit after chocolate biscuit has meant that I have been eating very well this week!!

Dont know how long this will last, especially with a weekend coming up!!!

Just like a Princess..

If anyone wondered what happens after the fairytale wedding, then just take a look at Princess Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge as she attended a Gala dinner with her Prince at Kensington Palace last night.

Looking every inch the Princess, Catherine seemed happy and relaxed on this, the couple's first official engagement.

Looking stunning in a rose sequined Jenny Packham gown that retails for £3,800 and with a nod to the high street a pair of LK Bennett shoes to match, she hit high in the fashion stakes. Even managing to out-shine season veterans like Liz Hurley who seemed ordinary by comparison in one of her usual floor length numbers with the obligatory thigh high split up the side.

Dazzling: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arriving at the Ark Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace

After the gorgeous cappauchino cap at The Derby, and the nude Reiss dress on meeting the Obamas it is clear that Catherine is making some careful choices. With the scrutiny she was inevitably going to be under it is a testimate to her personal strength that she has opted to continue with the under stated style that she has become known to exhibit. These seem like her choices rather than a team of stylists pushing her in the "right
" direction.

Sticking to nudes might be boring to some but she has never been a great experimenter with fashion. She knows what colours and cuts suit her and she will stick to it. Going for a British designer will also be a popoular choice, as whoever she wears inevitably has world wide exposure.

What is clear from the few appearances she has made since the wedding, you cannot put a price on elegance and style. And that the best accessory to any outfit is a handsome Prince. Now where is that Harry.....
